Buddy's Pizza in Farmington Hills, MI, is a must-visit for pizza lovers and Italian food enthusiasts alike. The place itself is huge, so even when it's busy you can expect to find a table. During my recent visit, I was impressed not only by their famous pizza but also by their delicious lasagna. My server was incredibly friendly and efficient, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I opted for the oven-baked cheese lasagna with marinara sauce, and it was an absolute delight. The fresh, wide-ribbon noodles were perfectly cooked and layered with a generous amount of ricotta, brick, and Parmesan cheeses. The marinara sauce was flavorful and complemented the lasagna without overpowering it. The dish arrived piping hot, with a golden, bubbly cheese crust and a sprinkle of fresh parsley. It was served with two warm breadsticks, making it a hearty and satisfying meal. The lasagna reminded me of my grandma's homemade recipe, which made it even more special. Buddy's commitment to quality and flavor is evident in every bite. I highly recommend this dish to anyone looking for a comforting and delicious Italian classic.

This used to be a five star location, but over the last year over so I've been noticing some inconsistency. My pizzas are often undercooked and the old world pepperoni isn't crispy on the edges. I'm reluctant to order it well done since it might get overcooked. When they are cooked correctly, they are awesome. Salads are also great, but the prices have become outrageous. $17 for a family sized hose salad? Seriously?

Growing up in Detroit, I became a huge Buddy's Pizza fan... The food, no matter the location, is always delicious -- especially their pizza, and this has not changed! Whether dining in or taking out, this location is now the closest to where my mom lives, so it's rare that we don't have Buddy's Pizza in some form anytime we visit. Service the last couple of visits has been friendly and the ambiance is casual and clean. We actually ordered take-out most recently and we enjoyed the Eastern Market Pizza as well as a simple pepperoni pizza, both with original crust. I do see the menu has grown over the years and they now offer thin, multi-grain and gluten free crust also! That being said, you cannot go wrong with the original. I hear the minestrone soup is good and I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, really, but if you like to keep it classic, get a couple of signature squares (Detroit Style), and maybe a salad or two, and call it a day. Enjoy!

Buddy's is the OG of Detroit pizza. I dare you to find better -- you won't. Without a doubt in my top two restaurants I miss most since moving away. I have no pictures just my phone but the absolute best thing on the menu is their antipasto salad! It reigns king. I've tried to make it based on copycat recipes online... good, but nothing is the same. They do offer shipping of frozen pies to people out of state which I absolutely take advantage of now. That crunchy cheesy crust and the layers of toppings, sign me up. Love you Buddy's, never stop shipping.

Detroiters no doubt put on for their city . I've heard about Buddyz years ago from Michigan natives who proudly boast - Detroit style pizza is the best. I knew Buddyz was a must have when I came to visit. Buddy must be a distant relative of Lou Malnati because the similarities are evident- thick, greasy, heavy, dense-all the makings for a good pizza- the pizza was truly a kamikaze for my taste buds. I really enjoyed Buddyz, but, in my opinion, Buddyz didn't crack my Top 10. As a result, id rank it as a very solid 4 star pizzeria.

We stopped in for dinner later in the evening. We were able to get a table. We started with the antipasto salad which comes with the dressing. We also had the Buddy Bread, which I think is ok. We always have the classic, square pizza. It was cooked well. The bottom was crispy, and the cheese was melted. It is definitely not thin crust, but also not like a super deep dish. It is good pizza, if you are hungry. It is on the heavy side for a light snack. Overall good. At other visits, especially when busy, it can be undercooked. The pizza does have taste that is particular to Buddy's. My wife loves it. Buddy's has been around Detroit forever. The ambiance goes with this nostalgic type feel. There are lots of old Detroit pictures. There is a separate bar area from the dining area. Our server was excellent. She had everything timed perfectly, and was right on it. I think it is on the expensive side.
